Though there are intelligent girls with the credentials to judge. I think the girls you’re talking about in your post are the ones who know nothing in that field (no matter how aspiring they are) and pretend to be all-that by dissing other people’s work.
And there are people (boys and girls) who like ‘indie’ music not becuase it’s really their cup of tea at all but becuase of its small fanbase, they feel their taste in music is far superior to that of the rest of the world so it feeds their ego and solipsism to have scooped up a diamond in the rough.
But you know, it’s okay for some people to be overly pretentious. You only pretend if you really don’t have anything worthwhile to project.

I think all arty types (male and female) are full of excess wind anyways. the problem with these guys are that they are all leftie starving poets, despite mom and dad paying the rent. really they have nothing at all new to say.
